We are grateful for everyone who helps our campers get to camp, whether it is a church, an association, another organization, a friend, or a family member. At Silver Lake, we call financial supporters who are not direct family members Program Sponsors.
Many churches and organizations sponsor campers from their community, by providing funds to be applied directly toward the campers' registration fee.

To help us keep track of the different funding a camper may receive, we use the term Program Sponsorship to refer to funds applied to a camper’s account that come from an organization (church, association, other) or an individual who is not listed on the camper’s family account.
A Program Sponsorship is different than a donation to the Scholarship Fund because it allows the funder to pay for a specific camper. Donations to the Scholarship Fund go into a general fund that is distributed to campers who apply for financial assistance.
For example, when a church sends a check to Silver Lake to be applied to five campers from their congregation, that is a Program Sponsorship.
The Program Sponsor makes a payment directly to Silver Lake.
By credit/debit card over the phone, by calling the Silver Lake office at 860-364-5526.
By writing a check directly to Silver Lake Camp & Retreat Center, and mailing it to the Silver Lake office: 223 Low Rd. Sharon, CT 06069
Along with payment, the sponsor should include a breakdown of the camper name(s) and how much each person is receiving (if more than one camper is receiving support).
To pay for a camper in full, including the $150 deposit required at the time of registration, the Program Sponsor and/or the camper family need to contact Silver Lake at slcrc@silverlakect.org or by calling the office: 860-364-5526.
Silver Lake will create the registration administratively – without needing the $150 deposit – and will then apply the Program Sponsor’s payment to the registration.
Before we can apply a Program Sponsorship to an account, the household needs to have an account in UltraCamp, our online registration system - https://www.ultracamp.com/clientlogin.aspx?idCamp=399&campCode=slc
If they have attended a Silver Lake program before, they should already have an account. If not, they will need to create one. An adult is required to create the account, and then other individuals can be added. The camper must be added to the account before Silver Lake can create a registration. This account is also where all the required forms are completed and submitted.
There are step-by-step videos about the registration system on the Silver Lake website - https://www.silverlakect.org/instructional-videos.
Being a Program Sponsor means the funds go directly to a specific person (or people) designated by the sponsor.
Donating to the Scholarship Fund adds the gift to the larger pool of money that is distributed to campers through a scholarship application process.

No. Silver Lake fundraisers have their own opportunities for sponsorship. Each event is separate from each other and is separate from Program Sponsorship.
