Silver Lake Conference Center Email Update to the staff and Board of the Southern New England Conference, UCC
The SLCC year-round staff has made a goal to be more intentional about communicating our programs and activities with the wider SNE staff and Board. To do this, we aim to send a monthly email to the entire staff and Board with highlights of what we’ve been working on and upcoming events.
Enjoy a day full of Adventure programming at camp! Fun, physically distanced, and safe. The morning will be spent playing together, exploring field games and low elements. We'll enjoy a bagged lunch, and then move to the high ropes course for some climbing.
3 Saturdays available:
October 17, 24, and November 7 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
$48 per person, includes bag lunch
Open to ages 8 and up; adults are encouraged to attend! We need a minimum of 10 participants to run the program.
Participants will need to bring their own masks and personal hand sanitizer.
Rev. Kristen Provost Switzer, SLCC Board Member, writes about the importance of supporting the Silver Lake Annual Appeal.
"As the nights grow colder and I dream of warm days at the Lake, I remember lots of different things about being at camp. I hear children screaming with pure joy on Mudge Mountain. I smell marshmallows roasting over a campfire and taste Campfire Communion. I see Black Lives Matter signs and rainbow emblems, an outward sign of our commitment to a more just world, especially for our young people who are indeed the future. What I don’t remember about camp is this: looking at the Silver Lake budget on a spreadsheet." Read the full post here.
