We are working hard to provide a safe, nurturing environment that will allow campers to connect with each other, their counselors, and creation in Silver Lake's 60+ wooded acres.
If you have questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We can set up a phone conversation to make sure you get the information you need to feel confident about sending your camper to Silver Lake in 2021.

If a camper tests positive or the family is advised to quarantine in the 14 days before camp, every effort will be made to move the registration to an upcoming session. Otherwise, a full refund will be available.
To ensure the safest environment for everyone, please have your camper continue to wear masks, practice distancing, and limit attendance to large gatherings for the 14 days prior to the start of camp, and when away from camp before and after the camp program day.
All campers should follow CDC guidelines for travelers. Read the guidance here.
Please monitor your camper daily at home for signs of infectious illnesses, including COVID-19. Your camper should stay home if they are sick or have signs or symptoms of infectious illness and/or seek medical care.
Details coming soon!
Program groups will be limited to 20 campers and 2 staff members. Groups will move around camp as a unit; for example, the staff will also serve as lifeguards during swim time to minimize contact between different groups.
Masks will be worn at all times, except while eating and swimming.
Each camper will need to bring a minimum of 2 face masks each day to wear while they are at camp. For simplicity, we recommend 3-ply surgical style disposable masks.
Cloth masks are allowed, but please note that campers will not have access to laundry facilities. In addition, cloth masks must be at least 2-ply without a valve. Gaiters/buffs are not acceptable.
We will monitor the health of campers and staff on a daily basis throughout camp. This will include daily symptom and temperature checks for all campers.
Handwashing and Deep Cleaning
We have handwashing and hand sanitizing stations and will incorporate hand cleaning breaks throughout the day. We have a policy in place that everyone participating in an activity using props or items that will be handled by the group must sanitize their hands before and after touching the items.
Our staff will be responsible for enhanced daily cleaning, focusing on high-traffic common areas. The entire camp will be deep cleaned between sessions.
Campers who have a fever or develop symptoms after arriving at Silver Lake will need to be picked up within 1 hour. Campers will be housed in a separate cabin until they are picked up by a parent or guardian.
If a camper is sent home, they will need a signed note from the doctor indicating they can return to camp.
Camp staff and campers should continue to monitor their symptoms for signs of infectious illnesses, including COVID-19.
If your camper develops symptoms of COVID-19, they should get tested and stay home to self-quarantine.
Refer to CDC’s Travel During COVID-19 website for more information about what to do after traveling home from camp.

When packing for camp, be sure to pack enough for the day. We recommend a small backpack.
*Cloth masks are allowed, but please note cloth masks must be at least 2-ply without a valve. Gaiters/buffs are not acceptable.
Silver Lake provides two swimming areas at the waterfront. There is a shallow entrance area for campers who do not wish to take or who do not complete the swim test, or who are beginner swimmers. The deeper swimming area is available for those who have successfully completed the swim test.
The swim test is optional and can be taken at most swim times.
The swim test consists of the following:
- Swimming 6 lengths between the docks, any stroke, nonstop.
- Treading water for 60 seconds.
If a child does not successfully complete the swim test on their first try, they are encouraged to try again.
