November: a time for thanksgiving, a time to count our many blessings, a time to be surrounded by family, friends and loved ones, a time to give our time, talent and support to Silver Lake.
Giving thanks to the many people, staff and volunteers, that came together to allow kids a chance to experience camp this past summer after losing the summer of 2020 to the pandemic. Giving thanks to the parents that sent their children to camp and trusted the staff and volunteers of Silver Lake to keep them safe. Giving thanks for the beautiful surroundings of Silver Lake that provided a safe space for many kids to experience God’s love, just as they are.
Counting our blessings that Silver Lake has been able to operate for over 60 years, providing an intentional Christian community where young people can meet new friends, try new things, explore their faith, and find their true self. Counting our blessings that with all the careful planning, Silver Lake successfully completed Summer 2021 with no COVID-19 cases.
Coming together with family, friends and loved ones at a weekend retreat program, such as Christmas at the Lake or Maple Sugaring Weekend, Confirmation Retreats or Youth Group Retreats. All providing an opportunity to gather in community and share God's love for us all.
A time to give our time by volunteering at Fall or Spring Action, give our talents by offering our skills to help with a project, or to give our financial support to Silver Lake. I had the honor of writing the Annual Appeal Letter for 2021 which details some of the many reasons Silver Lake is in need of our financial support. It can be viewed here:

Your contribution to The Fund for Silver Lake supports the day to day operations of Silver Lake ensuring it will continue to be there for many generations to come.
In addition, Giving Tuesday is November 30, 2021 this year and if you are able, Silver Lake would appreciate your financial support of any amount. All gifts on Giving Tuesday go to the Silver Lake Scholarship Fund to provide assistance so everyone has the chance to experience God's Love at Silver Lake.
