Come be a Part of Our Ministry at Silver Lake!

10/13/2021

Lee Collins spends time in the Silver Lake garden.
In the foreground is what the entire garden looked like, in the background is all the work Lee and his team have done.

Volunteers enrich and enhance the ministry of Silver Lake!

They can be found in the lodges and the woods, in the kitchen and the garden. They nurture our children and youth, take the lead on special events and fundraisers, share their tools and expertise, and so much more.

After the summer staff departed in August, the garden needed extra love and care.
The word jungle comes to mind.
Lee Collins, a member of the Congregational Church of Salisbury, volunteered to take the lead on this project. Joined by his daughter and other church members, they are transforming the garden and preparing it for the winter months. Lee is a master gardener and was, until very recently, a gardener without a garden. Now he has one – at Silver Lake!
Thanks to Lee and his team! They are making a significant difference.

There are a variety of ways to support Silver Lake with your volunteer efforts. Take on projects for a day, a weekend, a week or a year or two or three. Some groups schedule time during their retreats for a couple hours of service.
