Golfers enjoying their time on the course at The Country Club of Waterbury |
What do you get when you add 86 golfers + 7 volunteers + phenomenal weather + a beautiful, challenging golf course + an awesome array of raffle prizes + great food + great spirit?
It all adds up to the great 2020 Silver Lake Golf Tournament fundraiser!
In this crazy year of COVID, it was so great to spend a day outside with the most beautiful view and the greatest group of golfers and Silver Lake supporters to date!
We are so thankful for the Country Club of Waterbury for hosting our annual fundraiser - the 14th this year! Truly, the real stars of the tournament are the 86 players who came out to play a great round of golf and support Silver Lake.
This year, we thank our Gold Sponsors: Greens Farm Congregational Church, Congregational Church of Salisbury, and the Kazrus Foundation. As well as our Bronze Sponsors: Lone Sky Aero Advisors, LLC , Fiduciary Investment Advisors and Capossela, Cohen, LLC . We had a contest sponsor in the Consolidated Trust Fund. Additional sponsors included Griffin Electrical Contractors; First Congregational Church of Southington; the Fun in the Son Counseling Staff; Village Express Pack and Ship; Trudy Kelley of Southbury, UCC; Silver Lake Camp Family 2019; Rev. Paul Nesbit and Mark Jacobson; and the Cooksey Family. We even had some event underwriters this year: James Rotondo, Brian Lapis, Nancy True, Consolidated Trust Fund, and the Pitman Family.

The
Southern New England Conference, UCC (SNE) was well represented by Bridge Conference Minister Marilyn Kendrix and her family foursome. Another foursome included Silver Lake Executive Director, Ryan Gackenheimer; SNE Database Manager/IT Specialist/Storyteller, Drew Page; and former Bridge Conference Minister, Kent Siladi; and Matt Taylor, Silver Lake’s new Site Manager, played in another threesome. Last, but not least, an all-female foursome of conference staff members Sioux Wilusz, Tiffany Vail, Mary Nelson and Kate Ostertag who won the Most Fun Foursome!
In addition to a great day of golf, the tournament raised over $15,000 (net) for Silver Lake Conference Center - the most ever!
Thank you to all!
