Alums, Hear the Call: Join the 1,000 Alums for $1,000 Club

As the Now for the Future Campaign for Silver Lake continues the effort to raise the funds that will equip the Connecticut Conference's outdoor ministry facility for its vital minitry in years to come, the Campaign committee has issued a special challenge to the thousands of Silver Lake alumni/ae: to join the 1,000 Alums for $1,000 Club.

A gift of $1,000 or more, given at once or over four years, will be a significant addition to the campaign. Even better, the joint efforts of a thousand such gifts will bring the campaign's goals of safer, more flexible, more welcoming facilities much nearer.

"You can play an important part in ensuring that the seeds of faith are planted far into the future," writes the Rev. David Peters, Co-Chair of Now for the Future. "The success of our capital campaign is dependent on the generous participation of alumni/ae like you."

The Now for the Future Campaign for Silver Lake has a basic goal of $8 million, with a challenge goal of $12 million, which will fund new year-round retreat facilities, expansion and renovation of summer conference facilities, and ecologically sound landscaping.
